2 Most Important Relationships in Life
Relationships and marriages have become arrangements, convenience vs. commitment. With time you lose yourself, and the people you sacrifice so much for stop loving you. Men stop loving us because we stop loving ourselves. It is when we lose who we are that we start to cling to a man for our identity. That is the breaking point where relationships start being torn down. Clinging to someone is not loving someone it is selfish, it is taking not giving. We go from the woman and mother who had every intention on loving as hard as she could, completely selfless; to the SELFISH woman we never wanted to be. Left holding a huge burden to bare many asks themselves how did I get here. With all good intentions of being the best mother, wife and partner, somewhere, somehow it went very wrong.
What is the solution to this crossroads we often come to in life? The answer is simple, learn to love yourself! The answer very easy, the task, well one of the most difficult journeys I believe a women can embark on throughout her life. With that being said there are some very extraordinary ideas we can utilize to help us along our way.
The first and foremost is that we must build our foundation on the right man. Not the man in the flesh, rather God. He is the rock we must build upon, the foundation that will withstand any storm we endure in life. Anyone or anything other than that would surely be quicksand. God is love and the man who our identity will never cease to exist in. Hold tight to that message you can never lose yourself in that.
Second “NEVER BE HELD HOSTAGE TO A MAN'S INDECISION "! If he doesn't know what he wants or his direction in life then let him figure it out on his own. Don't sit around waiting for a man to determine your future or yourself worth. Will he love me, marry me, start a family with me, protect me, keep me, tell me I am beautiful, and validate me? Look to God for all of those things and then and only then will the house you build on stand firm.
You are beautiful in so many extraordinary ways. Hold strong to faith and faith isn't what church you go to or your religion, it is realizing there is something greater than us out there. What you decide to call it is up to you. Our strength is made perfect in our weakness. Embrace where you are right now! You may not be where you need to be ladies, but thank God you’re not where you use to be.
Never forget the beauty that lies in your brokenness!

The Gift
The beach was covered in shells, some whole, but many broken. As I walked along the beach I picked up all the whole shells, and left the broken one’s behind. Sitting on the shell covered sand I began to feel sad for the broken shells. I thought those broken shells are just like me and are being left behind stranded to be walked on and brought to their ultimate end. Much like the broken shells which are tossed out and left behind, I was faced with the daunting task of weathering many storms in my own life. I have felt alone left behind and stranded for most of my young adult life.
As I sat there God spoke to me and said those broken shells are blessed just as you are. Yes! It made sense now. The Lord never uses us to his greatest extent until he brings us to the end of our selves. The shells ending would see them crushed and turned into sand. God’s ultimate purpose and destiny was being fulfilled, in those shells just as it was in me. Beautifully broken were the words that rang out in my heart. I saw the gift of brokenness in those shells and myself that day.
